This course offers participants an opportunity to grow more deeply in the spirit of St Francis of Assisi and to discover how his Gospel vision can shape daily Christian life today. Through prayerful reflection, storytelling, and practical examples, the course explores Franciscan themes such as care for creation, peace and dialogue, love of the Cross, joy in hardship, accompaniment in illness, and humble service. Drawing from the wisdom of St Francis and the wider Franciscan family, participants are invited to reflect on their personal journey of faith and to live more fully the Franciscan values of simplicity, fraternity, compassion, and hope in the 21st century.

This course offers a comprehensive formation for those called to serve others as spiritual companions and retreat guides. Drawing on Ignatian spirituality, the course equips participants with the skills needed to accompany individuals on their journey of faith. Besides lectures in spirituality, discernment, and pastoral care, the course will also include two supervised practicums: one in spiritual accompaniment, where participants accompany directees under guided supervision, and one in retreat giving, where participants plan and facilitate a retreat. Both practicums provide participants with direct, supported experience and personalised feedback to prepare them for independent ministry in the future.
This course explores the Synoptic Gospels—Mark, Matthew, and Luke—which are often studied together due to their common heritage. In contrast, the Gospel of John belongs to a markedly different tradition and emerged later.Students will delve into the history and character of these Synoptic Gospels, gaining an appreciation for the styles and themes that are both common and unique to each. This knowledge will be applied through systematic analysis of relevant passages from these three Gospels.By integrating the content and skills acquired during this course, students will be able to interpret Synoptic passages with greater depth, meaning, and accuracy. They will also learn to recognise and avoid common errors in Scriptural interpretation. Above all, students will grow in their passion for Christ as revealed in the Word.

The Bible is not a single work, but a library of books which – though sharing the same divine authorship – differ greatly in their styles, history, cultural background, themes and interpretation. Through this course, students can expect to develop a basic understanding of why & how the Bible came to be through a consideration of different sources, transmission, redaction, consolidation, intentions. By integrating their newly acquired knowledge of the Bibles’ history and of the roles of divine inspiration & human cooperation in its weaving, students can then be able to interpret Biblical passages with greater depth, meaning and truth, as well as recognise and avoid some common errors in Scriptural interpretation. Above all, they will have grown in their passion for God present in His Word.
