
This course offers a profound exploration of the Holy Eucharist, integrating theology, art, music, and practical pastoral care. Delve into scriptural foundations, such as the Emmaus story, while appreciating Eucharistic themes in classical paintings and sacred music. Discover how the Eucharist transcends Sunday worship, inspiring daily life and social justice. Through lectures, participants will deepen their understanding of the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian life, enriching their spiritual practice and ministry.
By the end of this course, participants will:
• Understand the scriptural foundations and theological significance of the Holy Eucharist.
• Analyse Eucharistic themes in art and music across historical and cultural contexts.
• Integrate Eucharistic spirituality into daily life and community service.
• Foster a deeper appreciation of the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian faith and mission.
Please Note: Doing this course does not entitle the student to become an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. Extraordinary ministers are chosen by the pastor of the parish/community.
